Dear Parents/Carers,

SEVERE WEATHER WARING

We understand from weather forecasts that there is a high risk of heavy snow falls later today.

As a result we have taken the precaution of sending the children home at 1.45 p.m. today to avoid possibility of major disruption on the roads and public transport. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

There are also predictions of further snow during the night and tomorrow and it is possible that we may need to close the school. WE WILL MAKE EVERY ATTEMPT TO KEEP THE SCHOOL OPEN. However, if transport are unable to make safe journeys then we will have no option to close the school.

Unfortunately, it is very difficult to predict whether we will have to close and will will not know until tomorrow morning. Please be prepared for closure.

LATEST UPDATES CAN BE FOUND BY CHECKING THIS WEBSITE:

Please do not contact the school by phone until after 8.30 a.m. If transport doesn’t arrive to pick up your child, please assume that school will be closed.

Yours sincerely,

Stephen Smith

Headteacher
