END OF YEAR SHOW

The school Christmas performance will take place this year on

Wednesday 16th December.

Unfortunately only a small number of parent and carers attended last year’s performance so this year we want to increase the number of parents, carers, families and friends that attend.

This is a great way to celebrate together the end of the first term and the end of another year. The children have worked hard and are proud of their achievements and want to be able to share this with their families.

Please come and celebrate with us.

As we are eager to find out what would suit parents and carers the best,  we have attached a questionnaire to the newsletter to find out your preferences.

Please can you fill in the form and return to school tomorrow or soon after.

Education Welfare Officer Report.

We have had a visit by our Education Welfare Officer (EWO). Unfortunately the EWO has flagged up a problem with the number of children who miss school due to unscheduled appointments.

We will now require WRITTEN confirmation of any medical (or other) appointments that you attend with your child. This can be in the form of Medical Letters, Appointment Cards or Letters from the hospital or your GP.

School should be informed prior to the appointment or prior to your child being collected during the school day.

It is vitally important for school to ensure that all its pupils are accounted for during the school day and that we track individual pupil attendance.

We are sure that all parents and carers will fully support us to make certain that every pupil is accessing as much of the school day as possible and keep absences to a minimum. Thank you.

SCHOOL

We are proud to be the chosen charity by NW3 Hampstead – which is a group of traders, local businesses and the community.

All proceeds from the Hampstead Christmas Festival will go to Jack Taylor. The day will be full of exciting events and activities for children and families to enjoy finishing with the Christmas Lights being switched on. Activities start at 1pm and go on until 5pm.

Pupils, Staff, Parents, Carers, Governors and friends of JTS are all invited to come along and support this event. It would be lovely to see our school represented there by you.

We have been offered a stall in the main Marquee and would like volunteers to be there to help give out flyers and brochures to help raise the profile of the school.

Parking is free in Hampstead on Sunday and the area is pedestrianised with some road closures. We are sending a separate flyer home with information about the event.
