To everyone who came to school last Wednesday to support the opening of our sensory garden by Harry Hill. We were thrilled to have such fantastic attendance and it was fantastic to see so many parents and carers and families supporting the school.
We made the front cover of the Camden New Journal and should be featured in the local Kilburn press this week.
I think you would agree it is a wonderful space for our children to enjoy the outside environment!

A big thank you to all parents, carers and friends who came to the training this week about Sensory Issues in Autism.

Communication Symbols
As part of communicating with students we use symbols to enable visual cues and support the spoken word. In particular the use of symbols is extensive when working with the pupils who have autism.

Sensory Garden Opening
It’s the day we have been waiting for….. Harry Hill will be coming to school to officially open our sensory garden.
We hope to see plenty of parents and carers here amongst the guests invited. We are thrilled to have so many people support our project and be able to celebrate this event with us.
There will be a small song performed by some of the pupils and the speech and language therapist.
Refreshments provided.

Well done to SMITH MBETOLO and JOSHUA BROWN who represented the school at the Camden Sports Festival last week. They did us proud and returned with certificates for everything they had participated in!
AUTISM PARENTS AND CARERS TRAINING
The next training session takes place on TUESDAY 19th MAY at school at 10am in the Library.
The session will focus on SENSORY ISSUES and how these present difficulties for some of our autistic learners. This is an extremely useful sessions and will give you some ideas of activities you can do to support your child and meet their sensory needs.
PARENT AND CARER GROUP
The Parents and carers group will be taking place on WEDNESDAY 20th MAY at 10am. Tanya Hymers will be joining the session to offer advice on the short breaks proposal.
Please come and join the group and find out about what is available for your child.
